The TLF is a special fund designated on an annual basis by the DCU Executive Committee to support strategic innovation and enhancement of the University's Teaching and Learning activities. It is augmented by funding for some specific schemes under the HEA Targeted Initiatives mechanism. It is administered by the Dean of Teaching and Learning, with the advice of the Teaching and Learning Committee.
An external evaluation report on the operation of the Teaching and Learning Fund, 1999-2001, was published in September 2002. (The submissions provided by the recipients of TLF funding, for the preparation of this report, are also available.)
Calls for applications to the fund are issued on an ongoing basis; calls and consequent awards are listed below. In general, each award is linked to a micro-site providing more detailed information, which is updated as supported projects or activities proceed.
Reports on awards made under the Travel Funding Schemes must be submitted online, in a timely fashion, via the Travel Award Report Form. Reporting on awards made under the Project Funding Schemes are necessarily less precisely specified; but should nonetheless be submitted on an ongoing basis, in accordance with the Project Report Guidelines.
